John Keegan

College Role: Football Coordinator

Before joining Everton Football College, I was a professional footballer who played in the EFL leagues 1 and 2, the National League, USL League (USA) and the Welsh Premier League. I have been fortunate enough in my playing career to play in different parts of the world and also to play in the UEFA Europa League. Upon completing my playing career, I become a UEFA A Licenced coach and have also worked in America as Head of Development for MLS soccer in the state of Connecticut as well as being a 1st team Manager in the Welsh Premier League. I am based at our performance centre in Vauxhall Ellesmere Port. I am course tutor to our level 2 and 3 students and I am a qualified assessor and internal verifier. My other roles at the College include, coordinating all our National Football Youth League (NFYL) teams across all sites, leading on overseeing the recruitment and training of our international players who are at the college and I also organising the US University scholarships for our students who want to go to America and carry on with their studies and football development.

Every year I coordinate our Dallas Cup trip, and every Easter we take squads to compete in this prestigious tournament. I also work very closely with our performance data & match analysis providers Fitogether to keep our College’s football programme at an elite standard for all our players.
