Jericho Academic Progress
The site has progressed significantly since July 2020 as it has gone from having 18 students to 56 students from September 2020.
The new year 12 groups have settled in extremely well and are enjoying their time at the college, even with all the new Covid challenges and restrictions. Everyone at the site is remaining extremely positive despite the on-going disruptions we are facing due to Covid.
Year 12s have all completed their first unit of the course and have adapted well to the standards set by the staff. The year 12s have had productive first few weeks at the college, exploring their own professional development and developing their employability skills.
Year 13s have returned and began applying for UCAS, exploring options for next year and staying as proactive as possible. In terms of their units, they have just completed the first unit of the year in Skill Acquisition as well as revising for their Sport Development exam.
All students are coming to terms with online learning in case of another lockdown and have reacted really well to past lockdowns by submitting work and doing a significant amount of work whilst at home. All learners are engaging with staff effectively in regards to online learning
