GCSE Maths / Functional Skills Resit Programme

English and maths are core skills required by almost every employer and Higher Education institution as they demonstrate communication and problem-solving skills. Here at Everton Football College we encourage you to strive to achieve at least a ‘4’ at GCSE in both subjects.

GCSE maths is studied with those students who have previously achieved a grade 3/D at GCSE. Progress towards achieving Functional Skills at Level 1 and 2 is also an option for all learners and may be a more suitable route for some.

Assessment

Edexcel Maths foundation paper exam. There may be a chance for a resit in November but typically students sit the summer examination.  This exam has 3 formal assessments.

Functional Skills Level 1 and 2 exams. Typically, students sit these exams around the Easter and summer term.
