Covid-19: Guidance for Parents
As we welcome students back for the new term there are a number of measures which everyone can take to help minimise the risk of spreading the virus.
Promote good hand hygiene – remind your child to wash their hands regularly. Sanitiser is available in college in all classrooms and in public spaces for them to use.
Use of face coverings – these should be worn on public transport to and from school. Masks are also available in college.
Whilst it is now expected that children should return to college you should not send your child in if:
- they are showing coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms
- someone in their household is showing symptoms
Arrange a test if you or your child develops symptoms. Inform the school or college of the results.
If the test is positive, follow guidance for households with possible or confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, and engage with the NHS Test and Trace process.
Guidance on when you should self-isolate can be found here.
If you would like to discuss this further with the School Health Team please contact them directly on 0151 295 8415.
It is really important that you help us to keep everyone safe by following the advice set out here and wider public health advice and guidance.
